Just installed my new accelerator pedal on my 1949 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 ton truck with 216 cu.in. engine.
The pedal is approximately 1" from the floor when released and seems to go to full throttle. How far away from the floor should the pedal be when released? Doesn't seem to have much throttle travel?
Had to bend the rod slightly so that it would not bind on the hole through the floor board. Any ideas or suggestions?

Tim
