The PO screwed me up by welding in home made bumper brackets so I,m not shure how to fit it in. Does it go under the grill or in front of or corner to corner?

Also, the indentation is painted white if you have a chrome grill or thistle gray if you have a painted grill (for all exterior colors except Commercial Red and Pure White).

If you try to just suck it down hard the apron will warp and you will bend it. I have a '54 and just took apart the grill, I see the thistle white thru the PO's lousy paint job on the middle and bottom pieces, but not on the splash panel, was it always painted white there ? Also do you have the dupont # for the Thistle white color by any chance ?
