Im getting ready to reinstall new glass on a 39-46 chevytruck windshield frame.

Does windshield frame need to be split into 2 for the intall?

Any help or tips to reinstall appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, and be sure to completely clean the angle brackets that hold the frame together. Also chase the threads in the bracket with a tap and clean as well as possible the area the brackets slide into. I think some vender is offering new brackets and the special screws as these are often very rusty.

...I'd even recommend some anti-seize on any screws or brackets that are "enclosed". They can be a booger "later on".

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
