anyone know of a source where you can send quart cans of paint and they will put into spray cans? I can only find engine paint in quarts for my engine.

The Preval is a good way to go for the small job.

As far as jobbers canning product goes, it was more commonly done in the past than it is today, perhaps for air quality reasons. Check with your local paint jobbers. On the other side of the coin perhaps a cheapy or used gun might be the cost effective way to go. Then you have a one time use gun to set on the shelf beside all those other one time use tools. Impress the neighbors with all your "stuff"....

Harbor Freight carries a nice little reusable can that you fill half way with paint, then pressurize with your air compressor. I've got one but haven't used it yet but since the spray nozzle is metal, I suspect it might be a cut above the standard plastic-nozzled throw away rattlecans.

I bought the harbor freight can.
Worthless in my opinion. poor spray pattern, and it leaks paint at the refil site. Messy

But for 9 bucks or whatever it was.....
give it a shot and if it works for you then you are set.

I go to our local Dupont distributor all the time and have them mix paint in spray cans. It works great for small stuff.
