Thanks! I am trying to make a hitch that respects the space needed for that style. | | | | | Joined: May 2015 Posts: 11,150 Housekeeping (Moderator) Making a Stovebolt Bed & Paint and Body Shop Forums | | Housekeeping (Moderator) Making a Stovebolt Bed & Paint and Body Shop Forums Joined: May 2015 Posts: 11,150 | Deve, Maybe this will help. This is a photo of what's left of the spare carrier under my '51. There are two u-shaped crossmembers (one barely visible under the bed crossmember). The carrier itself is long gone, but from what I can tell, fastens diagonally across those two bars bolted to the frame. I'm not sure how far back the tire would extend, but I'm thinking you may have trouble fitting a hitch that extends forward of the rear bed crossmember. bed picture
