Hill owns a '66 GMC Pickup. Hope MAR-K Tech survives the transition. Their quality is unbeatable and will be a shame if it declines.

Anyone know who David Hill is or Petrosmith?

According to his LinkedIn profile he has a 20 plus year career in manufacturing, energy, and technology. All in executive leadership roles. He shows he left Petrosmith about a year ago and is now President and COO of Logic Energy Solutions out of Oklahoma.

My wife and I are still active in the business, but as both of us are north of 70 it seemed prudent to turn the business over to a younger leader who could continue beyond our time. David Hill will be that leader. He is a genuine car/truck/motorcycle nut who has restored many vehicles and as you can see by his resume has considerable skill as a business manager. Mar-K will continue to manufacture and develop top quality parts for many years to come under his leadership. I encourage you to check the website for positive changes or come by and visit to get acquainted.

Here's the scoop, plus a picture: Mark Sharp and new owner Dave Hill After nearly 40 successful years in business, MAR-K founders, Mark and Kay Sharp have sold MAR-K Specialized Manufacturing and its retail arm, MAR-K Quality Parts to David K. Hill, Sr.
Hill has been involved in manufacturing from the ground floor to the c-suite for over 25 years. Hill has worked in machine shops and manufacturing throughout his life, ultimately serving as President and CEO of oil and gas manufacturing companies in both Oklahoma and Texas.
However, since he was a young boy, Hill’s passion has always been the restoration and customization of cars, trucks and motorcycles. It isn’t often that one can do what they love and still provide for their family. Family is important to Hill as the father of six children and he is excited to continue the tradition of MAR-K that was started by Mark and Kay Sharp.
Hill is thankful for the strong and growing company that the Sharps have built and he is looking forward to continuing the legacy of quality work and personal service for each of their customers.Mark has a parting fundraising gift for the Stovebolt gang, that we should be able to put together in the upcoming week. We certainly wish Mark and Kay well in their retirement and good luck to Dave. It's always a plus to have someone who is passionate about old vehicles to be running the business of old truck restoration.
