What is a sealer I can try that will not plug the radiator? I only drive her once every month or two.

It's available in quart bottles on Ebay at pretty reasonable prices. It's a very effective sealer on low-pressure cooling systems. I managed to seal a seep leak from the head gasket on the 503 GMC engine that I drove from Tennessee to the reunion in KC last summer, and Ed Pruss drove it on to Denver without any problems.

'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Also a product called K-Seal works very well to seal cracks. And it mixes with antifreeze that's already in the system.
Added it to our Chrysler 3 years ago due to small leak in head gasket, still running.

Jerry Using my inner google-foo I was able to find that Bar's Head Gasket Repair contains sodium silicate without a bunch of extra additives. Cost is $11 locally, which isn't much more than e-bay. http://barsleaks.com/product/head-gasket-repair/Now to flush the system and disconnect the heater. Thanks to Jerry & others.
