For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 Big Bolt Forum Moderator | | Big Bolt Forum Moderator Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 | working on my 58 2-ton. Where the LF brake hose goes through the frame, there is a junction block on the inside of the frame. There was no copper washer between the fitting on the end of the hose and the block (where the washer is now inside the red circle). http://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p494/69B-Cuda/LF%20brake%20fitting_01.jpgIs there supposed to be one here, or not? Anyone have a FSM that shows that? I am thinking it should be there. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy 69Cuda, I did check my parts book illustrations for brake lines and fittings but of course there was no illustration. Common sense would say that a soft sealing washer should be installed on either side of a banjo fitting connection, hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 Big Bolt Forum Moderator | | Big Bolt Forum Moderator Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 | Thanks, 3B. That is what I was thinking also. Who knows what exactly was done on the farm in the last 60 years! It probably fell off at some point and they didn't notice! | | |
