| Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | The head surface is flat, so no adhesive required there as stated above, make sure tin is perfectly flat. Do not over tighten bolts. Chevy has made fittings to put under retainer bolts to spread the load if you have hold down bolts around the edge of the cover. You could make your own. Do you have a breather that is open?
