I ordered a new turn signal for my 1949 chevy 5 window 1/2 ton truck i also rebuilt the turn signals with new wires and rubber grommits i am presently running new wires for certain circuits anyway heres my question

if i wire the turn signals switch up the way it tells me to in the schematic how will i have parking tail and brake lights there are a lot of wires just hanging under the dash heres the best site for wiring diagrams for reference if need be
http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/electrical/wiring/
it seems that all the park tail brake even the interior light seems to go through the headlight switch any way thank you for your time in advance

In '49 directionals were an add on option. none of the original truck lights were connected to it.
The parking lights were never part of the system. Parking lights were only on for parking and off when the headlights are on.
Neither was the tail light/brake light because the truck only had one (right one was an add on option).
Most directional kits had the switch for the column and 4 lights that mounted on the front fenders and rear bed or fenders.

jpmanyhearts,

It is possible to get a two-element socket/bulb for the front parking lamps.

It is possible to get a second rear tail/stop lamp.

Then, it is possible to wire-up those lamps to serve their original function and server as turn-indicator lamps.

Also/or, as posted above by Jim, many people used to buy additional lamps for turn signals: front lamps on top of fenders or on the front valance/stone-shield, and rear lamps off the rear bedsides, etc.

the coil is heating up because you have the ignition on and the points are closed, effectively shorting it out, you may want to check/clean the points .... DO NOT have the coil power lead connected when doing that kind of testing, and do not leave the key on with the engine not running once you're 'finished' the job, good way to ruin points, fry a coil, and even start a fire
