The parking lights were never part of the system. Parking lights were only on for parking and off when the headlights are on. Neither was the tail light/brake light because the truck only had one (right one was an add on option). Most directional kits had the switch for the column and 4 lights that mounted on the front fenders and rear bed or fenders. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 70 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 70 | thank you tclederman i will work on that i ordered these today http://www.ebay.com/itm/1947-1948-1...TO-TURN-SIGNAL-KIT-/301919155071?vxp=mtrthen i went to big r and picked up a set of round tail lights then i picked up a tag holder and cut it in half and mounted the tail lights

DO NOT have the coil power lead connected when doing that kind of testing, and do not leave the key on with the engine not running once you're 'finished' the job, good way to ruin points, fry a coil, and even start a fire
