I have a question, my hood has came apart in the middle where the rivits hold it together. I tried to push it back and it just won't. I don't want to damage it more is there a easy way to do this. Hey what ever happened to the west coast stovebolt meet? Hard to organize a spot for everyone to meet! They have several more shows during the year. If a bunch of stovebolters were to meet at the show, for $25 each we can display our trucks. If parked together this could make a real nice truck display if enough people show up. Sounds like a good place to meet. There is lots to do and other trucks and cars to see.

Seems like there are tabs along seam inside to turn and lock sections together. Maybe that's just for the center strip not sure. Think there is a small gap for the strip to fit in, so if it's not there, will show up. Pinching together with those wide (4") or so welders vise-grips may draw up enough for bolts or ? needed to be used. If you check your manual on hood alignment, they not that at back underside of hood is a tension device to make hood "flex" and fit cowl tighter. Maybe you need to release/remove that to get tension off the hood sides and it will draw back easier then.

Hey Tony, That sounds like a great idea I think I'll try and make a few of those swaps/shows down your way! Living in Monterey is great and there are alot ole stovebolts running around here...maybe I can talk to a few and interest them in caravaning to a few shows. It's worth a try. Talk to you later.
