The original-style weatherstrip was similar to thick roofing felt (Advance Design trucks). I found it did not make a good seal, so I used 1" wide vinyl window/door weatherstrip that had adhesive on one side (Home Depot). Though it is not like the original, it seals better and allows for easy removal/repacement of the transmission cover (you can't see it anyway).

Somebody had put a very cheap floor shifter in. Junk!! Anyway I am putting in a new steering column with shifter there. (more room on floor) Anyway the PO had not resealed and I knew something had to go there. Thank you again. I think the 4 speed is "glass only and you can get the 3 speed in either.

Another question tho you brought up is the body caulk! Is that for the valleys like on the cab where they welded the skins together or put the cab together. (I do not know if I'm explaining it right) But I'm smoothing this cab out and there is a lot of seams that need something? Ben

Most auto parts stores carry it.
