Good afternoon
I'm in the process of repairing both inner & outer corners on a 1948 Chevy 1/2. The outside corners I've gotten figured out, but the inside corners have me baffled.
1.They appear to short. Shouldn't this piece run all the way over behind the door jamb?

2.Will I have to remove a portion of the channel frame to install? The end with the bend appears to be the same shape as the channel running up and down.

it may work out best if you were to tilt the cab on it's back in order to repair. I built a jig out of 2x4s when I painted the bottom of my cab, and you can paint and undercoat it at the same time. sorry, no pics of my jig! Mike

Thanks, I can see tipping the cab onto the firewall, because I need to have access to back of the cab.

I think I have my access solved, the issue is the installation of the patch piece.

looks like you may have to: cut out the spot welds, if any, to remove the old brace, shouldn't be too much of a job to remove the old, take your time, and pry them off carefully. Look at the Factory assembly manual to see how they look on the sheet. Mike

I made a bit of progress today (baby steps, but still progress). I finally discovered how those silly inside corners get installed.
I'll take a look at the Factory Assembly Manual, great idea!!
