Recently converted to 12v on my 53 with 235 engine.should change the oil pressure gauge to 60pds from 30lbs?thanks Scott

If you are asking about stock appearing gauges they are mechanical, not electric. The instrument light bulbs should be changed to 12v. I went with the stock appearing 60# oil pressure gauge for my 235. I have had poor luck with them. The first one broke apart where the 2 brass pieces are GLUED together. It was replaced for free but it is a PIA to swap them. The replacement worked fine for a couple of months and then the needle just fell off. No way to tell what the pressure is now. Perhaps I was just unlucky but I am hesitant to purchase another one.

It depends on whether your 235 is '54 or newer, but even then it doesn't really matter. It does not harm a 30 pound gauge to peg the needle.
You need to be more concerned about 0 to 30 pound range to make sure that you are maintaining an acceptable minimum of oil pressure.
My 30 pound gauge is pegged most of the time. The only time it drops to between 20 and 25, is when at idle on a hot day. It pegs at 30 as soon as I step on the gas pedal.
I don't think that it is worth the effort/expense to make the swap.
