It looks like the bed strips, stop short of the front panel. But there are multiple holes on the front panel. Pictures would be a great help.

Carriage bolts pass through these holes to attach the wood to the bed panel. | | | | Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 60 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 60 |

You don't need to put a bolt in every hole, just use the ones that are near the center of each board. And your bed strips should extend to nearly touch the front panel. The bed strips do not attach to the front panel. | | | | Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 60 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 60 | Thanks. My strips do stop short of the panel. I way wondering if a washer and bolt attached between the two boards and bolted to the panel, or bolted thru the board to the panel?

My truck is not with me but as I recall there are no cariage bolts through the front bed panel and rub strips. Abut 2-3 inches back a brace goes under the bed wood and that is where the carriage bolts are including the two large cam washers and bolts to bolt the bed to theframe. mar-k had most of the dimensional information. | | |
