This one takes you directly to the Manuals, Booklets, etc. listed in order of Year. On our Links pages, we have a Publications section. Might find some more stuff you like there, too. Also, check your library for some of the pubs - you can get them for free and copy what you need, while your hands are still grease-free. Peg

Check out all the advice given above - many excellent resources are online.
However, I do not think that the 1947-1955st Factory Assembly Manual is online.

Look of the "section" pages at the beginning of the FAM - each of the early "section" pages is an index into "detail" pages for that "section".

Is there a way to download the entire manual or document from the "Online Manuals Project"? I love having the access to an e-copy online, but a local copy of the complete document would be helpful.
Thanks,
Bill

I wasn't clear, for the documents that are there (like the 1947 Shop Manual), is there a way to access the pdf in its entirety?
Thanks,
Bill

Click on "save as" and you can specify what you want it called and where to store it. | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5,139 Authorized Pest | Authorized Pest Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5,139 | I like printed stuff, too - although I don't print much. Something like this is handy. You can always take it to Staples and have them put that binder on it, too ... with a cover to keep it somewhat in a sturdy condition. Hey ... put your truck on the cover, too!!

Bill Bill, Not that manual. If it was a full single/lartge pdf file, you could download it. That manual is a web page built around each page of the original manual. You'd have to buy a hard copy of the manual - original 1947 Truck Manuals can be bought on eBay or from original-document sellers (do an eBay and/orInternet search). An hardcopy of a 1947-53 "reproduction" manual is readily available from several vendors). Or, buy a CD/DVD copy of the 47-53 "reproduction" manual (readily available from several vendors). | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5,139 Authorized Pest | Authorized Pest Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5,139 | I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but remember American Classic Truck Parts (over there in the left corner of this page), had a deal for us a while back: With every order over $20 in merchandise, American Classic Truck Parts will throw in a FREE 1946-72 Master Parts CD. Just ask for the FREE LIT-99 at the time of ordering and say that you heard about this offer on Stovebolt.
This CD contains a PDF of all 1718 pages of the original General Motors 72TL Chevrolet Chassis and Body Parts Catalog, 1/2 through 1 ton; 10, 20 and 30 series. If THAT is the same thing you are looking for, give them a call and see if they still have it. Don't forget to tell them who sent ya! Peg
