Hello All,

I have a 1939 JC 1/2 ton and am trying to get the part number of any of the several speed bleeders made. I searched, but only found that information for the later trucks and I do not know if it is the same. If anyone knows the size and thread pitch, that could work too (is it 3/8 x 24?). I appreciate your help as I am trying to avoid having to go to the parts store or online order a part while the truck is on stands.

Would suggest taking one of your old bleeders to your favorite auto parts store and let them measure the thread, so you get the right speed bleeder.

..and when he gets home he'll have brake fluid all over the shop floor.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I can remove the bleeder screw and check the size and thread pitch in my garage, but I am hoping just to get the right parts and do the job without interruption to go buy parts. Leaking brake fluid would be annoying too, though I suppose it'll be leaking from the wheel cylinder when I change the bleeder screws, so . . .
