I'm trying to get the differences between a 235, and the later 292's. But, also am curious about the comparison in size with the ford 300 I6.

I'm not trying to be funny (maybe a little), but those are relatively easy to find engines, and you would need to measure them at your points of choice to get the answers you need.
I can tell you my 235 measures x" by y" by z", but what control would you have over the measurement points? ...is the fan included... ? the valve cover... ? the type of air cleaner installed ... ? At what point on the oil pan... ?
Let us know what exactly you want; do you want to fit it through a doorway , or build a shipping box for them? (For example)
