Looking to purchase a headliner for my '49 3100 and wondered if anyone had opinions for where to buy or NOT to buy a stock (brown) cardboard headliner and windlace.

On the headliner I would go with Bowtie Bits. The headliner I received from the other vendors were cut too short on the sides. Bowtie Bits supplied the headliner that fit the best. Make sure you distinguish whether your truck is an early '49 or late '49 when you order the headliner and windlace.

I wetted the cardboard and formed it around the mid centre tie before installing it and it just propped into place. If I knew how to link I would but, you'll just have search for it I'm afraid.
The finished headliner is seamless. | | |
