1 ton would be ideal but I think 3/4 through 2 ton uses same transmission corssmember, fits in the frame same way. Not sure about 1/2 ton.
All I need is from front engine crossmember to transmisison crossmember, though wouldn't hurt to also have crossmember behind cab.
Needs to be from a GMC because of the front engine mount.

Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | Thanks Mike, I think that truck being a 450 series has a much different frame and cross members, particularly the rear engine mount. I'll look at the pictures I have of that truck tomorrow. Do know we saved and reused a U shaped channel iron crossmember from just behind the engine which is why I'm pretty sure not same as a pickup.
Really just looking for enough of a 1 ton or comparable frame to fit an engine in and mockup and fabricate a different rear engine crossmember. Be a lot easier to do that with a short section of naked frame than one with a cab on it.
