I was wondering if there are any "good" online resources to read before I get tangled up in this project. Any suggestions? Thanks

What is his purpose for the 4-link? There are other options as well.

Racing? He says no but...so use is still to be determined. I think he just wants to try one, so here we go. Has gone " full lowered" about 8 inches with an IFS( don't know what one) and "C" notches. Gonna be a lot of tinkering and head scratching on this one. He said coil over so I don't have to mess with air bags( I hope) not yet into full "Low Rider" tech so no hydraulics. Stuff folks do to trucks. His truck, his plan. I just want strong and safe. That conversation should be a good one. I did look at the triangled 4 link. Seems better than a panhard bar...maybe. More to read.

Several years ago.

'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
