| | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 49 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 49 | I have a 15 * 7 wheels, 5 4 3/4 wheel pattern, backspacing is at 4 1/4. Tires are 225 75 15 cokers. My back wheels have about 1/4 if not rubbing are on the frame in the back. Fronts were hitting the tie rode ends but I took care of with 3/16 wheel spacers. If I go to 15 * 6 wheels with 3 3/4 backspacing do you think this would take care of spacing issue. Or does this tire on a 6 inch wheel still bulge out too far? Suggestions are needed.

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The OEM wheels for many years of Chevrolet truck pre '87 have a 3 to 3 1/2" backspace, depending on wheel width, which can go up t 8" depending on option. Wheel Vintiques can do custom backspacing on their wheels. The 3 1/2" falls within the range for most of their 6 and 7 inch wheels.
