Here is the only similar combo kIt/case that I can now find. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.

I think they used the same style for years, came with a long rod to turn the slot on the side. It's easier to get forgiveness than permission! 1946 1/2-Ton Chevy 1953 Chevy 3/4-ton Factory Stakebed

Here is info on the original 1952 jack. Modern bottle jacks are hydraulic - original-style bottle jacks were screw/mechanical. A bottle jack is OK on level/smooth/solid ground. A floor-type jack (if you are OK with non-original appearance) might be safer on less-than-ideal ground (and, jack stands increase safety, after you get the wheels off the ground). I'm thinking a type of bottle jack stored under the seat would be an "in case" insurance. I've just found an under bed carrier and purchased a new original spare tire spare. Again, thank you for the advice. Chuck
