My glass is ok, but the metal is rusting away. Where can I find just the metal to replace the old. I'm not talking about the channel that goes in the door, but that which attaches to the glass 46 Chevy pickup.

They show up on ebay frequently. 1941-46 are all the same. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 209 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 209 | I'm not familiar with the 41-46 channel, but if its like the newer ones, two pieces spot welded together, the U shaped piece that the glass sets in can usually be replaced with a universal lower channel by brazing or welding the old lower part to the new channel. A full service glass shop should have the channel. If you can't find it,I can probably fix you up if you can give me the length needed.
