This time I am doing two colors with graphics. How much time do I have to put on the clear after both base colors are applied and the graphics are completed. will i need to scuff up the base before the clear is applied. There is quite a wide variety in "recoat windows". Dupont has a 24 hour while Sherwin Williams has 7 days and Spies Hecker has forever. What paint are you using?

The graphics will be time consuming. only the two colors will be used but the graphic will be time consuming. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 804 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 804 | I don't have the HOK tech sheets and have not used it in YEARS, but I do know that they have a "Mid coat" clear (basicly a colorless base coat) that is designed to spray over art work to "prolong" the window on the base and to "seal" the art work. I HIGHLY recommend looking into it. It is called "intercoat clear" and the part number is SG100. Check it out http://www.houseofkolor.com/hok/productset.html Click on "Kosmic Kolor urethane and polyurethane enamels" to see the "Intercoat clear" and it's discription. Have fun!
