Built a new stomp starter for the 48 2 ton since the automatic trans did away with the original.
A tractor starter button that fits perfectly into the hole in the floor, machined an adapter to mount the original peddle to the switch, shortened the rod to compensate for the height of the switch and there it is.
I think it will pass for original with the carpets and padding in place.
Wired from the battery pole on the starter to the switch, through the shifter safety switch and back to the solonoid.
