good morning to all, before the rain season starts, i would like to replace the back side windows on my 37 carry all, any tips? is it just removing the wooden window frames and the panels?

Ok with that, first thing is not to use power tools in dissemble or reassemble, to much chance of damage to parts removing or assembling. Remove window crank handles, then remove metal panel below windows, panel is about 8 or 10 foot long, fastened with clutch head screws at factory be careful with panel very delicate, easy to bend or crimp crease if bent. You will notice what you have is a metal and wood frame holding the windows in. at the factory they stamped a metal exterior panel inserted a wood frame and crimped the metal frame to the wood frame.

Use zip lock bags to keep screws and hardware in, once you have removed the metal panel you can see better the window and window tracks, remove piece of wood that holds inside window rubber scrubber, the window is glass with a metal frame on the bottom of it that connects to the window raises crank and rides in two tracks on both sides, the bottom of the track is attached with screws and l shaped brackets, the top of the track has a screw usually inside the u shape fuzzy window track, once this is all dissembled the window should be removed from the bottom thru the panel hole, be careful in reassembly all wood screws should be just flush with wood not over tightened, if you removed the upper wood window garnish the wood screws can distort the frame go easy. Your pretty much on your own just go slow and easy, the new window will have to be pressed into the window raiser frame at bottom of window maybe a glass place to have that done, also clean out bottom where weep holes in lower body are, if no weep holes drill some and paint where you drill holes, water leaks down windows and lays in bottom if no place to leak out, and last I would hold of on replacing glass if you are going to paint inside and out, Jbennett
