is their a specific black and red color that i should use? anyone make a specific rattle can off the shelf that's recommended?
also what about the sheen? flat, semi, gloss?

| | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 86 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 86 | I think One Shot sign painters' lettering enamel 100-L Vermillion is a close match for the red. Their 199-L Lettering Black is a good match for the black.
They are available in quarter-pint cans at an auto paint store or on line through various sources. You can easily apply it with a small brush and it will flow to a smooth finish when dry.

A one ounce bottle (like Testors) would be enough to paint all of the emblems on a large fleet trucks. I have read that the Testors paint isn't as good as the One Shot.
