I bought the gas tank from gmc pauls, if that helps any. Also what is the best way to run so that i can fill the tank up from inside the bed. can i buy a kit to do this. anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. thanks | | | | | Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 259 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 259 | You install the o-ring gasket then the sender and then the retaining ring slides over the sender and under the outer ring. When you tap the ring clock-wise under the outer ring, the taper should make the sender fit tighter to the gasket.

I know it's a common place to put it, I just don't think it is good place to do it. If you have a tonneau cover or a load in the bed, it will make it difficult to fill. I've noticed that GM Venture or TransVan minivans have a self rimming gas cap that might be easy to mount in a fender.
