Recently I found my dome light not working. Worked fine before. Thought it was a bad bulb, and replaced it, still not working. Put a test light to it, and one terminal is hot, all the time, regardless of which position the switch is in. Could the headlight switch(which turns on the dome light) be bad?
Thanks
Tramp

Yes, more than likely your headlight switch is bad. By turning the headlight switch to the stop, it provides the dome light ground. You can fashion a test jumper wire from the switch to the light to eliminate the possibility of the wire bring bad. Attempt to clean the switch contacts, as the reproductions are not always reliable. You can find aerosol electrical contact cleaner at your local auto parts store.

Good luck, Bob
