Hello all,
Is there a trick to removing the vent window on 58-59 truck doors? I have the whole assembly on the bench. I removed the tensioning spring and nut. I don’t want to damage the top pivot pin.

they ain't fun!! I just put a pair back together , and the new rubber makes it all to darn tight!

with the nut and spring at bottom off, you should be able to force glass frame down just enuff to slip the top pin out and to the side, then work the bottom pin up out of it's hole - not easy, but easier than gettin it back together - don't be too freaked if you bend the surrounding frame a bit - they straighten back out ok

If you're having trouble getting the glass free, soak it in gasoline overnight to shrink the rubber seals. If you're replacing the glass, you'll need new seals anyway.
