Would some of you who have reassembled fenders chime in on this. What are the pros and cons of attaching inner fender first then putting the outer fender on versus assembling the two together and then hanging them on the truck. Which works best? My 59 you have to install the inner fender first and then attach the fender to it.

Ensure the clearance you need is there, tape all exposed edges on both the fender and cab, and proceed carefully! good luck to ya

I couldn't get the angle I needed without scraping paint off the cowl. The problem spot is at the cowl where the outer jogs from inside to outside the inner fender. Others have managed it though.

It's a tricky job. Have at least one helper and don't serve beers (or Bourbon) until the job is done. I plan on putting together the same way.

that hold it on loose. I did hang the outer
by myself but it is difficult and you might
scratch paint. Its better to have two people.
One holds the front and the other guides the
back. The trick is to have the bolts holding
the inner fender very very loose. You need all
the play you can get. I've been told that
bolting them together before hanging is a
almost impossible task, so I didn't even try
