hey guys, i have a 51 chevy truck 1ton. i put the fenders on and then the hood. the hood is hitting on back of cowl or firewall. there isn't much adj. i am going to take fenders off( i know something is wrong here). my question is should i take fender and inner fender off and put them together before i put them back on. thanks appreciat any advice

I bolt the inners to the outers before installing them to the truck.
