Found a local GMC cutaway van with a 135" wheelbase with dual wheels. Has the 5.7L with the 4L80E automatic. Guy wants $1400 for it says it runs/drives fine, just missing box.
At first I was considering it for the engine/tranny in a Jeep project but would a 1941-1954 1-ton fit on it? Anyone heard or tried this? The wheelbase is only an inch off. Track is wide but you could widen the fenders and running board I suppose.
If not, how about the front axle/brakes? Is this the right model to acquire brake parts from?

The P series vans like step vans are the same as the conventionals. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
