The paint is starting to flake off, revealing the chrome underneath. How can I safely remove the black over-paint and let the chrome shine?

Plan "b" would be to use paint stripper. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,881 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,881 | 2" wide masking tape applied right next to the chrome strip and a little Easy-Off oven cleaner brushed onto the painted chrome. Soak awhile and hose off. Be sure the cleaner doesn't get onto painted surfaces you don't want to strip! Jerry
