52 3600

Hi y'all my leak is originating from the lowest point on the steering housing.

Cheviesofthefourties shows a part 6.805 on page 110 (drawing is of an 37-40) yet do not sell the part.
Does anyone know where to get this part for my truck 52 3600?

Have you read this? https://www.flickr.com/photos/advance-design_parts_co/sets/72157632210242370/

6.805 is listed as a gasket, just make one, it will be cheaper then buying the rebuild kit if offered.

Have you considered filling it with John Deere corn head grease. It fixed the leak in my '50. If you do a search here you will find the details.

Classic Parts shows the sector shaft seal for a half ton. I think it is the same as 3/4 ton.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

My JD corn head grease filled box didn't leak until we had temperatures over 100 for days on end. I am waiting to fix that until I am ready to tackle replacing the overseas throwout bearing that lasted less than 2000 miles.

Been one hot somgun down here in southern Cal this summer, gonna be in the 80s the next few days. My steering box takes about 6 months for the corn head to ooze out.
