For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 194 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 194 | Rob or anyone: Under the blue overspray and dirt and grease on the firewall is the original white paint. Can anyone tell me what color the white was called? Jim Carter lists Cascade white in his catalog, but I think it is only for 54-55 models. Truck is going to be painted white again, I'm just curious if the white had a special name. They use a special scanner type tool that digitizes the colour, then calculates and spits out a paint match formula on the computer. Then you can have your paint mixed up. They had one of these gizmos at the dealership where I used to work and it matched paint (even complex modern metallics) darn near perfect! Might be worth a shot. Regards, Wannabe
