Rob or anyone: Under the blue overspray and dirt and grease on the firewall is the original white paint. Can anyone tell me what color the white was called? Jim Carter lists Cascade white in his catalog, but I think it is only for 54-55 models.

Truck is going to be painted white again, I'm just curious if the white had a special name.

Thanks

Check this page on Rob's site:

It appears it was Cascade White from 51 to 54

Another suggestion, afu-if you do Rob's tip, you could take the paint sample to a local bodyshop and have it digitally matched! eek They use a special scanner type tool that digitizes the colour, then calculates and spits out a paint match formula on the computer. Then you can have your paint mixed up. They had one of these gizmos at the dealership where I used to work and it matched paint (even complex modern metallics) darn near perfect! Might be worth a shot.

Thanks for the help! Now just have to find the money to pay for the HIGH priced paint.

Thanks again.
