The "over stamp" is possibly an indication that it is a replacement engine. What is your title/registration vehicle ID? http://www.1954advance-design.com/chev-specs/1953-Chevrolet-t-and-c-ser.pdfFind and post the head & block casting codes (and date casting codes). This will confirm the pedigree of the engine. So the Head casting number is 3835909 which seems to be 1950-52
as far as can make out the block casting number is 3835882 but that doesn't appear to exist, so i'll look again in the morning!!
The VIN number is JPFI 0857 which i think makes it september 1951. janesville, wisconsin. 3100 1/2 tonne!!
lol...bubblemaker is a name i've used for years...i taught SCUBA diving!!

and it is - 3835692 which makes it a 1952 235 c.i. and also correlates with the head casting number. I guess the ebgine number might begin KEA but i stil reckon it looks like LEA!!
I also took the VIN number from the truck rather than the paper work!!! what it actually says is - 21JPF10857 which makes it a Janesville 3100 from June 1951! Making it i think the 9856th truck to roll of the line that year??
It's just a shame there doesn't seem to be anyway of finding out any history of the truck.
