on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! So I bought one of these off eBay knowing the reproduction latches are not great. LS NOS are not easy to source so for $60 I could not resist. https://www.flickr.com/photos/advance-design_parts_co/21525447206/in/album-72157631868452754/So after install with a new reproduction latch plate it would not shut tight? Not having a NOS Left but having a right a quick comparison showed 1/4" difference on the area where the latch slides over and then behind. So I welded a 1/4" extension and it works great. So if you are having a latch issue on the reproductions that is the issue I found. And that NOS latch, in a word fantastic! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,272 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,272 |
