Does anyone know where to get a replacement sending unit float that attaches with a wire at the end of the float? All I can find in the old truck parts catalogue or on-line is the kind that has a recessed groove around the float that attaches by a wire loop. Came out of a '53 GMC.

If it's a cork float maybe a fishing supply store?? You might have to modify it a tad.

The float is brass with a wire connected to the end which then attaches to the rheostat. Can't post a picture on these forums.

No you can't. All you can do is post a link to another site hosting your picture. So long story short, no you can't display a picture here with your post.

If you're going to pick nits that's an issue you'll have to live with. Click the link at the bottom left and you'll see why. A hyperlink is just as good as am embedded image if not better. If you still have an issue with the policy you'll have to take it up with the site owners. If you want to get the chip off of your shoulder there's likely a solution to your problem.
