I am removing the engine from my 1948 chevy 1 ton. I have about everything disconnected except the engine mounts. How do I remove/disconnect these? Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 | First you will need to do an archaeologic excavation of the grease/oil/dirt to find the bolts which go straight down through the crossmember. I believe that they have 5/8" heads on them. You can remove these two bolts and pull the engine/clutch housing with the motor mounts still attached. Carl
