been a while, since I sold "'Tater",but pulled the oil pan just out of curiosity. F.Y.I.,it developed a rod knock, two blocks from where I sold it from! New owner decided to chance getting it home, and it "Locked-Up",a mile down the road. He got it to turn-over,but has a "Hard Spot". I drained the oil,and it Looked Clean, but when I rubbed my fingers together in the stream,I could feel particles, like sandpaper grit. All bearings look intact, and no big chunks in the pan. Need to pull all the main and rod caps, and inspect the crank for damage. Funny thing is,the oil gauge read 40#,when it seized. I was driving, and constantly monitored the gauges. It will more than likely need a new crank, and main/rod bearing set. To be on the safe side, best to replace the cam bearings, too. I'm just GLAD to see nothing broken, and no damage to the block! WHEW!!
