So, what did you get? Any history with it?


'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Welcome! I am about 6 months into my ownership of a 59 big bolt I have found everyone here very helpful and knowledgable. Good luck on getting the brakes going. It took me about 2 months of gradually replacing everything before I finally got them to work. The guys here helped quite a bit along the way.

After looking i think that I will want to replace 5 of the 7 wheels I have (they are Firestone rh-5)

To be on the safe side, if you mount the two non RH-5° wheels on the outside of the rear, it will prevent you from getting hit if one should come apart during inflation. The part that comes off will be facing the truck and can't go anywhere.
