Does anyone know any numbers or names of the proper paint. Also, should it be used only on the lower panels or is the entire frame, including the bar surrounding the seat back, the same colour? After five years of restoration, it's exciting to be thinking about paint! | | | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 586 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 586 | I thought that the interior was painted all the same color. Mine is a GMC, but I think the Chevys were painted in the same way. Maybe the person who had the truck before you did a little paint work? It is a good bet a lot has been repainted. The original paint did not hold up well.
The original paint is usually called "champaign", but I do not know it's GM name. And no one seems to have a decent color code, but I find the interior paint from Chevy Duty to be very close to original. | | |
