Like a new power steering box , put in new ball joints, Tie rods with screw adjustments, sway bar.. My question is, does the power steering box need a special positioning plate or something? The inner tie rod ends are way to close to the lower control arm on both sides, as is the center drag link. Any ideas? As a general answer to a non-kit Saginaw: It has three mounting bolts and I some spacers. Mount it so it is fairly parallel to frame face. The angle is by mock up to column angle and, of course, to the pitman arm and clearance to the rest of whatever set up he did. There is a reinforcing plate sold for them because some frames cracked in that area. That's all I can say without more info or pics. If the PO purchased an aftermarket kit, you may have to identify the source and get instructions and what may be missing. Some may have an adaptor plate. Look on line at the several sources and see how they install. J. Carter, CPP, Classic Parts of America, etc.

All I know is the inner tie rod ball joint wants to hit the control arm. there is simply not enough room or it's very very close. I appreciate the help, I'll send pics. This is a little tough for me as I'm dealing with an already disassembled truck. I think it's easier to take things apart first to see how they go back together, but i don't have that option.
