I need to finish door jams, inside of doors, etc. Painter will only be doing exterior. It would be much easier to do my part with the doors off. I'm thinking about removing them at the hinge points on the door since that only affects fore and aft adjustment when they go back on. Am I getting ready to do something that I will regret? i.e. getting the doors adjusted properly without an enormous amount of work.

| | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 | If you drill a small hole all the way through the hinge and the body (or door) before you take it off you can use the drill bit as an alignment tool when you go to put it back on. It is very easy that way.
