Well I think I saved another engine from the Scrap Gobblers.
Old Shorty Superior Bus by my job and I finally stopped to converse.
53 and older nose,illegible data tag,later{was hopin 261} engine,sm420 trans.
Totally intact minus the generator and belt.
You could see evidence of Woodstock all over his thing.
Body guy says he bought it upstate as a project,
Gonna slam it and bigblock it, whatever
Told Him when they got round to pullin the engine gimme a calland id think about givin him scrap price.
A month goes by and the bus is gone so I called.
He sent it to his sand blaster.
But they pulled the driveline Before it left and was I still interested.
Picked it up Sat after working OT.
Spins over free with no noticeable snags,
they destroyed the fan pulling it,still had coolant and oil in it.
Complete from the throw out brg. to the fan and carb to drain plug.
Definitely a 235,first numbers from under the grime,,,
Stamped behind the dizzy,
