i was wondering if there is a difference between the 54 1/2 ton and 52 3/4 ton inner fenders, fender braces, and the core support? im fixing up the 54, but someone tore out holes in the inner fenders and there covered with rust. the stuff on the 52 are nice, no dents, and powdercoated so.... thanks for the help.

The 47-53 & 54/55 1st inner front fenders are different. If ya want to use the 54/55 's on an earlier truck they will have to be notched [ where they meet the grill ]. Use your rusty ones as a guide to what has to be morticed out.

This may not be important regarding the radiator support/frame (radiator core?) but in 1954 the horn was attached to the radiator support/frame. I am not sure when this changed but in prior years the horn was mounted on the front of the intake manifold (in those trucks there are no factory holes in the radiator support/frame for mounting horns).

The 1954 radiator support/frame had attachment points for dual horns (I can't remember if they were threaded holes or captive nuts).

Most of us here are captive nuts grin

There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
